of the appliance and have understood
the consequential risks.
• Cleaning and maintenance by the
user is not allowed to be carried out
by the children without supervision,
unless they are above 8 years and
are monitored. The appliance and its
connecting cable must be kept away
from children under 8 years of age.
• Children are not allowed to play
with the appliance. Children do not
recognize the danger which may arise
when handling electrical equipment.
Therefore, use and store the device out
of the reach of children under 8 years
of age. Do not let the power cord hang
down to prevent it from being pulled.
• Keep packaging material away from
children – Choking hazard!
Dangers when handling electrical
appliances
• Only connect the device to a
properly installed earthed socket with
a mains voltage according to the type
plate.
• In case of damage to the power
cord, this should be replaced by a
specialist workshop named by the
manufacturer in order to avoid injury
and accident risks and damage to the
device.
• Make sure that the socket is near the
appliance and that it is freely accessi-
ble in order to quickly disconnect the
appliance from the mains in the event
of a fault.
• Repairs are allowed to be carried out
only by the permitted specialist work-
shops. Devices, which are not repaired
properly pose a risk for the user.
• In order to avoid accidents, do not
leave the device unattended during
operation.
• In order to avoid accidents, never
connect several household devices
simultaneously (e.g. via a 3-socket
distributor) to the same earthed socket.
• Never immerse the device in water or
use it outdoors as it should neither be
exposed to rain nor to moisture–
Shock Hazard!
• If the appliance has fallen into the
water, first unplug the device and then
remove the appliance! Afterwards,
stop using the appliance and have
it checked by an authorized service
center. This also applies if the power
cord or the appliance is damaged or if
the appliance has been dropped. Risk
of electric shock!
• Always disconnect the mains plug
when the appliance is not in use and
before every cleaning or malfunction!
Never pull on the power cord! Risk of
electric shock!
• Make sure that the power cable or
the device are never placed on hot
surfaces or near heat sources. Lay the
mains cable in such a way that it does
not come in contact with the objects
having sharp edges. Risk of electric
shock!
• Never bend the power cord or wrap
it around the device, as this may cause
a cable break. Risk of electric shock!
• Do not use the appliance when you
are on damp ground or when your
hands or the appliance are wet. Risk of
electric shock!
• Never open the device and never try
to get inside with metal objects. Risk of
electric shock!
