Replacing the ac power adapter bracket
Attention
Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and

This section provides instructions on how to replace the ac power adapter bracket.
To replace the ac power adapter bracket, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the
computer.
2. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.
3.
Disconnect the ac power adapter from the ac power adapter connector on the
rear of your computer. See “Locating connectors on the rear of your computer”
on page 8.
4. Press the metal clip

as shown and then lift the power adapter bracket up to
remove it from the chassis.
5. Slide the ac power adapter out of the bracket.
