There are some limitations to this function based on the unit’s
configuration from the factory, and from choices made in the initial
configuration with the serial cable.
1. If your unit is not purchased with a encode range, you will not be able to select that
bit rate or format.
2. Likewise if you configure the minimum bit rate in the units memory, the system will
not let the web interface override those settings.
(Those values can be altered using the serial cable directly; however, providing your
unit is enabled for that function.)
For instance: The softness filter is sometimes needed for low bit rates and the
sharpness filter is applied to higher bit rate videos for quality purposes. However if
when you configured this value to “auto” (which adjusts this automatically) when
programming the unit with the serial cable , the unit network control panel will not
override that setting saved to the defaults.
Critical: Clicking On a value and then “submit”
INSTANTLY alters the encoder’s transmission.
Once you decide on a new value for encoding you select the value desired and then the
submit button. Reset button returns the page to the web interface
(not the encoders)
