Saving the default settings
Now to save your selected entry’s as the default settings for the encoder, use menu
item number 21.
Now you can disconnect the terminal program and power cycle the unit normally ( by
turning the power switch off and on), or start the encoder as shown in fig. 6, using the
“88” or start encode command and then disconnect the serial port if your done with
programming the default values for the unit.
WARNING! Once
you enter this
menu number (21)
the existing
defaults will be
over written,
instantly!
Now verify that your video source is on and sending to the encoders along with any
audio sources and then either log on to the stream by opening the multicast IP address
on your network or by turning on the television attached to the decoder
.
