8.4 Welding parameters
The welding parameters are located on the left-hand side of the Home view. Press the respective value to change it. Alterna-
tively, you can increase or decrease the value by selecting

Speed
The roller speed can be set from 0 m/min to 30 m/min.
Upper
differential %
The upper roller can be operated with a differential speed to the lower roller.
In terms of maximum values, the upper roller can be operated 100% faster (dou-
ble speed) to 99% slower. If the maximum speed of 30 m/min is exceeded by the
differential, the value is automatically adjusted to the “speed”. The value of the
“upper differential %” is maintained.
Temperature
The temperature has two displays. The value in black indicates the setpoint.
In contrast to this, there is a red value that indicates the actual temperature.
If the actual temperature is /- 20 °C of the setpoint, only the target tem-
perature (black value) is displayed.
Pre-heating time
The pre-heating time is the time between the last nozzle movement and the start
of the
transport rollers (9).
By means of the pre-heating time, the
transport
rollers (9)
can be started after a delay in order to heat the material at the start of
the weld seam for a longer period of time.
Air volume
The air volume is controlled between the air pump and heating element. Depend-
ing on the
welding nozzle (12)
used, the setpoint must be automatically adjusted
by the control unit in the event of a greater deviation between the setpoint and
actual value. Any adjustment made to the value is additionally displayed in the
reference and error table on the information screen.
Note:
Adjustments are made to the setpoint if the air pump cannot supply the air
volume selected.
Clamping pressure
The clamping pressure is the regulated pneumatic pressure of the clamping cylinder
before or after the welding cycle. For safety reasons (risk of entrapment), the clamp-
ing pressure has been restricted. This can be set from 0.5 bar to maximum 2 bar.
Welding pressure
The welding pressure is the regulated pneumatic pressure of the clamping cylinder
during the welding cycle. The pressure can be set from 0.5 bar to maximum 5 bar.
