Change of user parameters
To change the user parameters of the device, follow the procedure as given below:
Send
Idle
(I) command
The device enters
Idle
mode and then is able to access the user data in the RAM (see Chapter 3.5.2)
Ping
(P) user data
With the
Ping
command the device sends a ping packet with the user parameters from the RAM (see Chapter
3.5.3).
Configure (C) user data
The new values now can be sent to the device with a
Config
command (see Chapter 3.5.4).
Save (S)
to EEPROM
To save the new parameters to EEPROM (permanently saved) please send the
Save
command (see Chapter
3.5.5).
Start measurement (M)
Start the
Measurement
again to go back to normal measurement mode (see Chapter 3.5.6).
It is necessary to write all the user parameters in one packet. If just one value needs to be changed, ping
all values from the device. Then overwrite the desired value and write all the values back to the device.
If user data are not saved to EEPROM they will be lost after a reboot of the system.
The write cycles of an EEPROM are limited depending on external conditions. Under unfavorable
conditions the write cycles might be limited to 10'000 only.
