Appendix A: Troubleshooting
3.
If the slide was left on the stage while the AutoLoader pusher was moving between the rack and the stage, retract
the AutoLoader pusher by pulling it towards the front of the scanner until it comes to a mechanical stop; this
returns the slide to the rack. Note that the AutoLoader will not operate or move to its home position unless the
pusher is pulled all the way forward, as shown in the following image.
Note the label on the pusher assembly:
Make sure that the dotted lines (indicated by the red arrows in the illustration above) line up with each other; this
ensures the pusher is fully retracted.
Stalled AutoLoader Carousel or Rack Lift
If the AutoLoader carousel or rack lift stall during use, first look for any obstructions, including the rack or slides preventing
the axis from moving, and clear the obstructions if necessary. Then restart the Controller; don’t power the scanner off and
on. If that does not work, then power the scanner off and then back on again.
To restart the Controller, click the Aperio Service Manager icon in the Windows task bar select
Restart Services
and
then select
Restart Controller Service
