LEHR LP5.0 HP Rev.A 2014

1. Place carburetor cap and then the throttle slide spring onto the cable

followed by the slide assembly. Use the slide to compress the spring

against the cap and watch for the throttle cable end coming into view

in the retainer pin hole in the slide.

When the end is in place, carefully orient and insert the retainer pin

over the end of the cable. The brass throttle pin retainer must be ori-

ented properly to seat around the end of the throttle cable.

The end of the throttle cable must seat inside the relieved side of the

retainer pin.

If installed backwards, the idle RPM will be very high since the slide

will not return to the proper idle position inside the carburetor. Once

intalled, the pin should be flush with or below the body of the slide.

Check for security.

Installing the Slide and Throttle Cable Cap

4. To insert the throttle cable and slide assembly into the carburetor, be

sure the brass cable retainer is facing up. Then gently push the slide

assembly into the carburetor body or until seated, and screw the cap

on. Do not overtighten. Fingertight is sufficient.

The threaded cable adjuster on the carb cap

is for cable free play adjustment only. The

normal adjustment length is unscrewed most

of the way as is visible in the picture.

The slide is keyed so that it can only be fully

inserted back in the carburetor one way.
