SERVICE POINTS

Rubber bushing installation

1 . Install:

Rubber bushing

Align the projection ® on the pressu re fit

side of the rubber bushing flange with the

projection

Push the rubber bushing on its inner cyl

inder in the direction of the arrow as

shown and pressure fit it into the steering

bracket.

•

After fitting it, check that there is no clear

ance between the bushing flange and the

steeri ng bracket end ©.

Throttle cable installation

1 . Install:

Throttle cable

The throttle cable should be routed through

the cut ® in the steering handle cover with

the outer tube end

Throttle cable installation

1 . Install:

Throttle cable

The throttle cable should be routed through

the cut ® in the steering handle cover with

the outer tube end

step © in the steering handle.

3. Push the rubber bushing on its inner cylinder in the direction of the arrow

as shown and pressure fit it into the steering bracket.

4. After fitting it, check that there is no clearance between the bushing flange

and the steering bracket end

1. To install the tiller end of the throttle cable, insert the cable and into slot

in the stainless steel plate from the inside of the lower covers. There

are two holes side by side inside the tiller arm. One hole is a through-

hole large enough to allow the barrel end fitting of the cable to pass

through. Next to this hole is another hole, but the bottom of this hole

is small enough that only the inner cable can fit. There is a step at the

bottom that retains the cable outer housing. There is a small slot joining

the two holes.

2. Insert the cable into the larger hole. Pull the barrel cable end through to

the inside of the tiller arm.

3. While holding the barrel end of the cable inside the tiller arm, pull the

cable housing out slightly towards the engine block. Slide the cable

sideways into the slot and seat it in the second hole

so that the cable

housing is retained.

4. Once the cable housing is restrained, connect the barrel cable end to

receiver on the throttle rod
