1.4 USER INSTRUCTIONS FOR EXPLOSION-PROOF TELEPHONE

THE FIRST CUT OVER INTO SERVICE SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT BY ENGINEERS WITH

ADEQUATE AND APPROPRIATE TRAINING IN RESPECT OF HAZARDOUS AREAS.

IMPORTANT

ANY REPAIR OR MODIFICATION OF THE UNIT BY THE USER IS NOT ALLOWED

WITHOUT A FORMAL MANUFACTURER AGREMENT.

SET-UP / USAGE

The allowing instructions must be read in conjunction with :

1- standard NF C 15 100.
2- standard EN 60 079-14 (electrical installations in gaseous explosive atmospheres).
3- standard EN 60 079-17 (inspection and maintenance in hazardous environments).
4- standard EN 50 281-1-2 (electrical equipment for use in the presence of inflammable dust. Part 1-2 :

encapsulated electrical equipment – selection, installation and maintenance).

5- Decrees, orders laws directive, applications circulars, standards, rule – book and every other document

regarding the location of its installation.

Luch of observance of these element would not be our responsability. Installation of the equiment must be
carred out by qualified competent experience staff.

You should ensur is compatibility between the indications figuring on the instruction plaque, the explosive
atmosphere present, the zone of voltage and the ambiant and surface temperatures.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

The following points should be checked at last once per

Ø

The external equipment and the front panels must not be damaged.

Ø

Check the terminals are tightly clamped, re cable if necessary.

Ø

Before closing, check the seal housing, cleanliness, condition and its implementation.

Ø

Secure the lid on the case and ensure that the 3 locking screws are tight.

Ø

Check the tightening of the gland on the cable to ensure

watertightness.
