If the new tool has changed the laser to punch distance, then the laser will not be aligned to 
the slots in the alignment card. The example i

Figure 4-5

 shows a laser that needs to be 

moved down to return to alignment.  

Hold the bottom of the transmitter unit with one hand, and with your other hand unscrew the 
locking handle on the transmitter bracket to release the clamp. Slide the bracket up or down 
until the laser is positioned in the slots on the transmitter alignment card. Then tighten locking 
handle to secure the bracket. Remove the alignment card.

For the receiver you simply need to adjust the vertical position of the receiver bracket so the 
laser is positioned near the middle of the window (

Figure 4-6

). In most cases, if the tool 

height changes by less than 20mm, the receiver will not require any adjustment.

The mute point must now be cleared by the operator (see 

Section 3.4

), and set again on the 

first stroke with the new punch.
