MAINTENANCE
■ Remove the spark plug cap. Fully cover the spark plug using the provided socket wrench. Rotate
the socket wrench counter-clockwise to remove the spark plug (Fig. 42).
■ Check the spark plug for fouling, worn and rounded center electrode. Clean the plug or replace with
a new one. DO NOT use a blowing tool to clean as the movement of dirt may damage the engine.
■ Adjust spark plug gap by bending outer electrode (Fig. 43).
■ Reinstall the cleaned or a new spark plug by turning it clockwise into place (Fig. 44).
■ Reinstall the spark plug cap into place (Fig. 45).
NOTICE:
Be careful not to cross-thread the spark plug. Cross-threading will seriously damage the
product.
