Under Range vs. Normal Range Data Display
OBA Overload Icon
The OBA Overload icon displays while the input to the Octave Band Analyzer is
overloaded.
TAKE NOTE
When the OBA Range property is set to
Normal
, the OBA Overload Icon
displays at a level 33 dB lower than if the OBA Range had been set to
High
.
OBA Under Range Icon
When the signal from the preamplifier drops so that the noise level of the
instrument and the preamplifier influence the measurement, an Under Range
condition exists.
When all filters of the OBA are “under range” the OBA Under Range Icon
flashes.

Run
A measurement is currently
running.
Stop
A measurement is stopped.
Reset
A measurement reset has
occurred.
Run Pending
The meter is waiting for
filters and detector
initialization to complete
and will automatically start
the run when the system is
stable (typically less than 10
seconds).
Pause
The present run is paused.
