Switching off the barbecue

1.  Close the cylinder valve on the gas cylinder (turn

G1 clockwise).

2.  Press and turn all flame regulators (A, 3 x B, C E)

clockwise to "OFF".

3.  Wait until all of the parts have cooled down and

then clean any soiled components (see chapter

"Cleaning").

4.  Close the barbecue hood (8) and the side burner

cover (15).

5.  If the barbecue is not going to be used for a pro-

longed period:

Remove the battery from the electronic pulse

ignition (see chapter "Battery"). Old batteries

can leak. Any acid that escapes from the batte-

ry can damage the barbecue.

Disconnect the gas cylinder (see chapter "Dis-

connecting the gas cylinder").

Store the barbecue in a dry place.

Cleaning

Barbecue

Danger:  Risk of burns when cleaning the

hot barbecue

Some parts of the barbecue can get very hot.

Allow the barbecue to cool down sufficiently

before cleaning it. Wear protective gloves.

Caution: The spark plugs on the burners

can bend

The spark plugs on the burner can be bent or

snapped off while cleaning the burner areas. In

this case, the gas in the burner will not ignite. For

this reason, clean the areas around the burners

with particular care. Do

 not

 use a brush to clean

the burner.

To make sure that you enjoy your barbecue for many

years, you should always clean it after use – after

making sure that all the parts have cooled down –

with detergent, a brush and a cloth. It will be much

harder to do this later, once the dirt has dried.
Gas system
The gas outlet nozzles on the adjusters (underneath

the front panel) can be cleaned with a pin if neces-

sary.

Warning: Risk of fire and explosion

All other parts through which gas is transferred

should only be cleaned by an expert.
Never dismantle the adjusting elements!

rotisserie to "On" and make sure that the skewer

is turning smoothly; if not, switch off the rotisserie

motor and rearrange the meat.

10. Press the rotisserie flame regulator (A) and turn it

anti-clockwise to the "H" ("High") setting. Keep it

depressed in this position.

11. Press the pulse ignition button (D) for a few

seconds until the gas ignites in the burner.
A low crackling sound indicates that the pulse

igniter is igniting.

If the gas in the rotisserie burner fails to ignite

within 5 seconds, turn the flame regulator (A)

to "Off" position, wait for 3 minutes and repeat

steps 9 and 10.

Turn the flame regulator (A) to the desired heat

setting.

12. Close the barbecue cover (8).

Open the hood (8) from time to time while using

the rotisserie burner to prevent the barbecue

from becoming damaged by the extremely high

heat generated.

13. After the food has cooked:

Turn the flame regulator (A) to "OFF".

Switch the rotisserie electric motor off and

unplug the power lead.

Remove the skewer with barbecue mittens or

other heat-protection gloves.

Remove the electric motor for the rotisserie (6)

from its mount (7) if you no longer need it.

Infrared burner

Caution: Avoid water contact with the

infrared burners

The infrared burners (11, 12 and 14) may suffer

damage if exposed to water.

Run the infrared burner in "H" ("High") position

with the hood open for 5 minutes without any food

on the barbecue to make sure that grease drips or

particles of food will burn off.
After the barbecue has cooled down, carefully vacu-

um off the burnt particles.
