Switching the thermometer on/off:
Press the switch on the side (ON/OFF) to switch the
thermometer (26) on/off.
Switch the thermometer off after barbecuing.
Thermometer functions:
Insert the temperature sensor (27) into the centre of
the thickest area of the food on the barbecue. Make
sure that you do not fully pierce the food. The sensor
(27) must not come into contact with hot barbecue
parts or naked flames.
Choosing the type of meat:
Press the "Meat" key to select the desired type of
meat. Press again to select a different type of meat.
Selecting the taste:
You can select the taste by pressing the "Taste" key
(rare, medium-rare, medium, medium-well, or well
done). The selected temperature appears in the dis-
play. An audible signal occurs when the selected tem-
perature has been reached.

Using the thermometer
Caution:
• The temperature sensor and connecting cable
may become very hot. Always use a barbecue
mitten to pull the sensor out of the meat and
deposit the temperature sensor so that it can
cool down.
Maintenance and care
• Pull the connecting plug of the tempera-
ture sensor from the thermometer. Wash the
temperature sensor by hand only. Use only
washing-up liquid and warm water. Rinse care-
fully and then dry with a soft cloth.
Inserting the battery:
Remove the battery compartment cover on the rear
of the thermometer (26).
Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries as
depicted. Close the battery compartment.

Connecting the temperature sensor:
Connect the connector of the temperature sen-
sor (27) to the thermometer (26) as shown.
