6. Locate the ballast at the top left corner of the control
box then follow the two (2) ballast wires (black and
white) to the central connection terminal and unplug
from terminal.
Remove Existing Lighting Components (Fluorescent)
1. Unplug unit power cord from wall outlet to power down
unit.
2. Remove all of the valve ID Panels and valve covers.
3. Lift the merchandiser up and pull away to remove from
the unit.
4. Twist the fluorescent bulb to remove from bulb
brackets.
5. Remove the two (2) screws of the control box cover to
remove from the unit.
Disconnect power from unit prior to service.

7. Locate the starter below the ballast in the control box
then follow the two (2) starter wires to the central
connection terminal and unplug from terminal.
8. Using a 5/16” socket screwdriver, remove the two
screws of the starter and remove from control box.
10. Follow the wires of the fluorescent bulb bracket and
disconnect from electrical box. Repeat for second
fluorescent bulb bracket.
11. Unscrew the fluorescent bulb bracket and remove from
unit. Repeat for second bulb bracket.
9. Using a 11/32” socket screwdriver, remove the two
screws of the ballast and remove from the control box.
The following section only illustrates how to remove the existing unit’s
fluorescent
lighting components. If the existing
unit has LED lighting components, skip to page 4 for instructions on how to remove the lighting components.
