IV/IVP

Fuel flows from the filter to the engine driven fuel pump on the accessory pad of
the engine. Excess fuel returns to the fuel tank selected via a return fuel line.

HYDRAULIC

An 1100 psi hydraulic system operates the landing gear and flaps. The
electrically powered hydraulic pump “power pack” is mounted on the aft side (left)
of the 172 bulkhead accessed through the baggage door. A reservoir is located
below and attached to the pump. Service the reservoir with MIL H 5606
hydraulic fluid. With the landing gear down and the flaps “up” the reservoir should
be filled to within an inch of the filler neck.
