your brakes on downwind before landing. To do so, simply depress
each pedal to verify a "firm" pedal. Your initial flights will require
extra caution until you become familiar with the aircraft.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The electrical system consists of two busses, two alternators, two
voltage regulators and two batteries. The main bus provides power to
all aircraft electrical components and the starting battery. The auxiliary
alternator provides power to the PFD, MFD, and pressurization system.
The engine magneto circuits are independent of the electrical system
and each other.
To reduce weight, small batteries are used to stabilize the backup
alternator. These batteries are generally insufficient to power the
avionics for any significant time. Therefore, the MASTER switch
should be energized prior to the AUX switch. The AUX switch should
be switched OFF prior to the MASTER. In other words, avoid having
the AUX switched on without the MASTER.
BACKUP ATTITUDE INDICATOR
The instrument panel includes a Mid-Continent 4300-411 electric
attitude indicator. This unit contains an internal standby battery that
allows operation for up to one hour in the event of electrical system
failure. A flashing amber status light at the bottom left of the indicator
indicates that main DC power is interrupted or has failed and the
indicator is running off its internal battery.
