ACCESSORIES AND PROBES 

 

6.0 GENERAL 

This chapter lists Model 420 Gaussmeter Accessories (Paragraph 6.1) and Probes (Paragraph 6.2). 

6.1 ACCESSORIES 

Accessories are devices that perform a secondary duty as an aid or refinement to the primary unit.

MCBL-6 

 

Hall Generator Cable Assembly

. The MCBL-6 Cable Assembly connects a discrete Hall generator 

to the Model 420 Gaussmeter. Cable is 2 meters (79 inches) long. The cable ships with the 
HALLCAL.EXE program on a 3.5 inch diskette which permits cable PROM programming through an 
IBM PC or compatible computer serial port. Because of the many calibration intricacies, the user is 
responsible for measurement accuracy. See Appendix C.

 

 
 

MPEC-XXX

 

 

Probe Extension Cables

. Contains a EEPROM for calibration data. Probe and extension cable 

must be calibrated together. Available part numbers and cables lengths are:
