A silicone disk is compressed around the slider to prevent the main part of any
liquid pollution from entering the slider opening in the puller enclosure. The
slider opening in the enclosure is a tight-fitting confinement around the slider to
provide good alignment and a guiding conduit. A small magnet is incorporated
to indicate the stroke-end of the slider.
The guider provides a fixed guide point for the catheter at the beginning of the
stroke. The length of the guider needs to be adjusted to the length of the
slider. The guider is affixed in the puller enclosure by a small knob providing
clamping friction.
To install the catheter puller, proceed as follows:

Install the four rechargeable batteries (see § 7.2.3).

Connect the power adapter to the DC receptacle [2]. For more information
about the power adapter, see § 7.2.4.

Register the Bluetooth puller (see § 3.4).

Place the guider [10] in the puller enclosure and use the lock-screw [14] to
secure the guider. Do not screw the guider too tight.

Place the slider [7] in the puller enclosure as shown in figure 7.2.

Attach the puller carrying arm to the mounting clamp as supplied with your
system (Solar pole Mk III wheelbase, separate puller wheelbase or Solar
Maquet chair).

Position the puller horizontally at the desired height. The slider is moving
backwards, so there must be free space at the back side of the puller.

Test the Bluetooth puller with the diagnostic program (see § 7.4).

Enable the Bluetooth puller in the investigation protocol and change the
settings if applicable (see § 7.2.5).

Test the performance of the Bluetooth puller in the measurement program
(see § 7.2.6).

Charge the batteries as described in § 7.2.4.
The software will search for the Bluetooth puller at the start of the
investigation. The puller is working fine, if the
Status LED is continuously lid
and the Bluetooth LED is blinking. If the Bluetooth puller is not found, please
consult trouble shooting (see § 7.5).
