Use the [UP] and [Down] keys to set the second label position to the calculated number.

Set the swing tamp air regulator to 60 P.S.I. (4.0 bar).

Remove the label from the product and move the product upstream on the conveyor.

Press the [CUSTOM] button until the tamp ENABLE appears on the menu screen. Press
[FEED] to dispense a label onto the tamp pad.

Start the conveyor and watch as the side tamp applies the label: The side tamp should fully
extend and immediately apply the label. If the label was applied early, increase the LABEL ON
PRODUCT POSITION. If the label was applied late, decrease the LABEL ON PRODUCT POSITION.
Repeat until the label is applied at the correct position.

Repeat step # 14 and watch as the tamp returns to the printer for another label. If there is a
delay between the side tamp returning to the stop and beginning of the next label feed,
decrease the SIDE TAMP RETRACT TIME. Reduction of this time will reduce the total machine
cycle time.

Repeat step #14 and watch as the label feeds onto the tamp pad. If the tamp pad is
bouncing when the label begins to feed the TAMP SETTLE TIME must be increased to prevent
possible label jams.' Adjust until the tamp pad is stationary when the label begins to feed. The
side tamp should fully. extend and immediately apply the label

Repeat step # 14 and watch as the swing tamp applies the second label. If the swing tamp
was not close enough to the product to apply the label, decrease the SECON D LABEL POSITION
and repeat until the label is applied correctly.
If the swing tamp collided with the product, increase the SECON D LABEL POSITION and repeat
until the label is applied correctly.
NOTE: If the second label position setting is insufficient to allow time for the second
label to be printed. The second label will not be applied and LABEL POS. ERROR will be
displayed. In such a cases, you can increase the second label position setting, decreasing the
line speed or decreasing the machine cycle time.
