Adjust Keyboard Settings
To adjust the keyboard settings, touch Home >
Menu > Settings > Locale & text .
Locale and Text
Select locale : Select to change the language
and region option.
Text Settings
Keyboard Settings
• Vibrate on keypress : Check to activate
vibration when a key or a menu is touched.
• Sound on keypress : Check to activate
clicking sound when a key or a menu is
touched.
• Auto-capitalization : Check to
automatically set the first letter of a
sentence in upper case.
Word Suggestion Settings
• Quick fixes : Check to allow dictionary to
automatically correct mistyped words.
• Show suggestions : Check to display
suggested words as you type.
• Auto-complete : Check to enter a
highlighted word automatically if a space
or punctuation is typed.
User Dictionary
Select to add user preset words to the
dictionary.
Add Words in the Dictionary
1. From the Locale & text screen, touch User
Dictionary > Menu > Add .
2. Type the word you want to add, then touch
OK .
Customize Words in the Dictionary
1. From the Locale & text screen, touch User
Dictionary .
2. Touch the word you want to customize, and
a pop up window appears.
3. Do one of the following:
• To edit the word, touch Edit .
• To delete the word from the dictionary,
touch Delete .
