Networking and Configurations
6.1
Networking
The most typical networking topology of SICOM6000 is redundant ring network. SICOM6000 can
form the redundant fiber ring network as shown in Figure 6‐1, in which one device is set as master
and the rest are slaves. The recovery time of re‐communication is less than 50ms.

6.2
System
configuration
SICOM6000 industrial Ethernet switch is a modular design with 6 expansion slots: one slot for main
control module, one slot for DC power module, one slot for Gigabit interface module and 3 slots for
100M interface modules. Required power voltages are 12VDC, 24VDC, 48VDC. Detailed
configuration and models are shown in Table 6‐1
