Blind
Plate
When any slot in SICOM6000 is not in use, blind plate can be used to cover the slot not only for a
nice look, but also improving protection class and controlling wind channel.

Device
Application
1.
Check up before powered on
Before device is powered on, please check if power input and output cables’ connection are correct
and power supply units are connected reliably; check if hardware devices meet SICOM6000’s
requirement on hardware environments.

Device startup
After power connection, please check if all units work normally.
3.
Port commission
The connection status of copper ports are indicated in LEDs in front panel of switch. If ports are
linked normally, their corresponding LEDs will keep on. When there are data transmitting and
receiving in the ports, the corresponding LEDs will blink. If RUN indicators blink after electrifying,
it means the switch work normally. And if power indicators keep on, it means power module run
well. Port 1, 2, 3, 4 in the Gigabit interface module are combo ports. The selection of copper or fiber
ports is subject to the sequence of LINK status.
4.
Serial port commission
SICOM6000’s serial port commission interface is located in the power module. The cable for serial
port commission adopts DB9 to RJ45 cable. Please configure the PC serial port commission
program to the following mode:
