Attaching the tine
guard
All tine supports at a height of less than 2 metres which have tips that
point at right angles to the direction of travel must either be removed
or secured using the tine guards provided.
The tine guards are stowed in holders to the right and left of the main
frame.
The tine guards are placed over the unprotected tines and are attached
to the tine support via an elastic rope:
Take a tine guard from the holder.
Place the tine guard over the tines of the first tine support, and at-
tach the elastic rope hooks to the tine support.
Repeat this process for the other tine supports.
Repeat the entire process for the tine supports on the other side of
the machine.
Exercise caution when close to unprotected tines
Maintain a sufficient distance from unprotected tines. When work-
ing in the vicinity of the tines, ensure that you have a firm footing
(risk of slipping on wet ground). Otherwise, serious or fatal injury
may be caused as a result.
