How to test wiring continuity
Use a multimeter configured as an ohmmeter.
To test:
- The good condition of the cable throughout its length.
(The cable may be crushed between two mechanical
parts).
- Disconnect the system power plug
- Disconnect the two connectors between which the
measurement must be made
Measure the resistance ;
The resistance must not exceed 0.5 Ohms
Example of speed sensor:
To test the continuity of the "Signal" wire
- Place the first electrode on pin n° 2 of the 3-pin
connector
- Put the second electron on pin X of the 28-pin main
cell harness connector.
