RT105M Operator’s Manual

Service - 147

500 Hour

Test Coolant Freeze Protection Level

With engine cool, test coolant freeze protection 
level using a hydrometer or refractometer. 
Recommended freeze protection level is -34°F 
(-37°C). Adjust as needed.

If colder temperatures are expected, consult your 
Ditch Witch

®

 dealer or coolant supplier.

Use pre-diluted coolant to maintain proper freeze 
protection.

Change DEF Filter 

Change DEF filter every 500 hours.

To change:

1. Remove DEF filter cover.

2. Pull out DEF filter insert and compensation 

body. 

3. Insert new DEF filter insert and compensation 

body and ensure both are seated correctly. 

4. Replace cover and torque to 15-18 ft•lb      

(20-25 N•m).
