Checking and maintaining the overload
protection
(with Titan 4/25 L only)
Before initial use and after long periods of non-usage,
the friction linings of the disc clutch stick. Protection
against overload damage is no longer provided.
Therefore, the clutch for the loading unit must be
vented after longer periods of non-usage.
1. Tighten all four nuts (M).
2. Connect the universal drive shaft to unit and tractor.
3. Turn on PTO until the clutch slips. If necessary, block
the cutting and conveyor drum.
4. Loosen the nuts.
No warranty if not observed!
When releasing and tightening wheel nuts, follow the
sequence indicated in the figure on the right. Check
tightness of wheel nuts 10 operating hours after
installation and retighten if necessary. Thereafter,
check tightness every 50 operating hours. The
tightening torque can be found in the chapter “Care and
maintenance”.
Check tyre pressure regularly and fill if necessary. The
tyre pressure depends on the tyre size. The values can
be found in the table below.
Tyres
• Repair work on the tyres must only be carried out by qualified personnel using suitable
installation tools.
• Park forage wagon on firm level ground. Use wheel chocks to prevent accidental rolling.
• Check tightness of wheel nuts regularly and tighten if necessary.
• When inflating tyres with compressed air, do not stand in front of the tyre. Tyre can burst if
pressure is too high. Danger of injury!
• Check tyre pressure regularly.
Universal drive shaft
The lubrication intervals for the universal drive shaft are
indicated in the figure on the right. Further information
can be found in the operating instructions provided by
the universal drive shaft manufacturer.
