Practical application when loading
1.1 Set required number of blades (see page 32). Until
first silage cut only the number of blades required
for cutting green forage should be used.
1.2 Set the baffle plate according to the swath size. Set
the baffle plate low for small swathes and short
crop. Set it high for large swathes to prevent
blockage.
2. Set advance to “OFF”. When loading switch the
advance on briefly to push the forage back.
3.1
With hydraulic control by means of ball cocks
During the loading process, the pick-up ball cock
must be opened (position I) and the tractor hydraulics
must be set to lowering or floating position to allow
the pick-up to move freely. If the hydraulic scraper
floor drive has to be switched on during the loading
process, the diverter valve for the scraper floor
control must be set to position I. The scraper floor will
then start to move as soon as the tractor hydraulic
system is set under pressure. If the scraper floor is no
longer needed, the diverter valve must be set to the
0 position again and the tractor hydraulics must be
set to lowering or floating position.
3.2 With electrical standard operation
When loading the wagon the switch for pick-up
operation remains switched on and the tractor
hydraulics are switched to lower or float position, so
that the pick-up can move freely. If the hydraulic
floor conveyor drive is to be switched on while
loading, the switch for pick-up must first be switched
to zero position and then the switch for floor
conveyor operation to “on”. The tractor hydraulics
are then switched to “pressure” and the floor
conveyor switched back to 0-position, the pick-up
switched to “on” and the tractor hydraulics switched
to lower or float position.
3.3 With electrical comfort operation
Before starting loading, switch on oil circulation at
tractor and secure lever.
On uneven ground, leave pick-up in “lower” mode
by switching the appropriate selector switch, so that
the pick-up can adapt to unevennesses. The pick-
up can be operated in this floating position during
the whole loading procedure. Then switch the PTO
shaft on and start loading.
At the start of the loading procedure, switch the
floor conveyor advance on when the crop has
reached approx. 3/4 of the total height, to
prevent the crop pile tipping over.
Afterwards, switch the floor conveyor on when the
loading height has been reached or, with extremely
heavy crops, the loading unit no longer runs
smoothly.
