Automatic floor conveyor tensioning
The floor conveyor of the “TITAN” short-cut forage
wagon is tensioned automatically.
The correct function of the tensioning device must be
checked. If the floor conveyor chain has become so
elongated in prolonged operation that automatic
tensioning is no longer possible, 2 or 4 links must be
removed. This is carried out as follows: Pull wedge (1)
out using threaded spindle (2) (spare part no. 347-588-0)
and insert a bolt through the hole (3). Then shorten the
floor conveyor chain and remove the bolt (3). Release
and remove the spindle (2).
Chain tension
is to be checked regularly. To tension the two pick-up
drive chains release the bolts and push the tensioning
rollers by hand onto the chains. Retighten the bolts.
Tensioning of the 1 1/2 “main drive chain” is carried out
using the chain tensioning pinion (see photo). To re-
tension, first release counter nut (1) and then turn
pressure spindle (2) until required tension is achieved.
Then retighten counter nut securely.
Pick-up height adjustment
Set pick-up using feeler wheels so that the tines do not
protrude into the ground when loading. Always set the
pick-up as high as possible.
The pushed pick-up has a central height adjusting
facility which can be operated from the left-hand side
for both feeler wheels. Pull the lever out of the engaging
segment and turn as required.
