4.5.1 Connecting the signal and field current cables, field housing

The outer shield of signal cable A and/or B is connected electrically with the housing via the
clip of the strain relief.

If a shielded field current cable is used, the shield must NOT

Remove the locking screw and open the housing cover.

Pass the prepared signal and field current cables through the cable entries and connect the
corresponding stranded drain wires and conductors.

Secure the field current cable using the clip. Any shield that is present must NOT
NOT
NOT
NOT be connect-
ed.

Secure the signal cable using the clip. This also connects the outer shield to the housing.

Close the housing cover and secure it with the locking screw.

INFORMATION!
Each time a housing cover is opened, the thread should be cleaned and greased. Use only resin-
free and acid-free grease.
Ensure that the housing gasket is properly fitted, clean and undamaged.
