- Place the bottom rails 9.5 in the channels in the
railing stanchions and clamp them in place with
clothes pegs. Remove each peg in turn, starting at
the centre, and solder the rail to the stanchion.
- Don’t cut off the excess rail length at the front.
- Attach the bow pulpit to the railing using the split
pins 9.4.
- File two notches for the bottom rails.
- Check that the parts are the same height right and
left, and are set at the same angle.
- Solder these assemblies together, then cut off the
excess rail material.
- Don’t throw away the spare handrail rod, as it is
needed later.
- Bend the handrails 9.6 to shape, fit the split pins 9.4
and the sleeves 9.7 on them, and plug them into the
holes in the deck.
- Solder the split pins and sleeves to the handrails.
- Bend the side handrails 9.8 to shape and push them
into the side wall endpieces 7.2.
- Bend the two fender bars 9.9 to shape and insert
them as shown.
Deck superstructure railings
- Access hatch railing;
- Stern railing;
- Side handrails, right and left;
- Ladder.
- Bend to shape the top rail 9.10 for the access hatch
railing, and file notches. (13 mm from the top) in the
rail and the stanchions 9.11 to accept the bottom rail
9.12.
- Make up the railing using the split pins and
stanchions, fit the assembly on the boat and solder
