- Check that the motor bulkhead is correctly aligned,
then tack it to the installation cradle with a few drops
of cyano. Check alignment again, then reinforce the
joints with UHU acrylit. Allow the glue to cure
completely.
- Apply acrylit all round the stern tube on the inside
where it meets the hull. The joint must be completely
watertight.
- The propeller 3.10 will be installed in stage 12.

- File a flat „F“ in the shaft of each rudder 4.1 in the
stated position. Note that the flat must be at right-
angles to the rudder blade.
- Slide washers 4.2 and O-rings 4.3 onto the rudders.
- Fit the rudder bushes 4.4 on the rudder shafts.
- Press the collets 4.6 in the tillers 4.5 and fit the
screws 4.7.
- Fit the rudder assemblies through the holes in the
hul and cradle and fit the tillers on the top end to
prevent them falling out. Tighten the screws 4.7, but
only lightly at this stage.
- Carefully place the model on the bench, resting on
the rudders. Check by sighting along the hull from
the stern that the rudders are correctly aligned. If
necessary adjust the holes in the installation cradle
(not the hull) until you are satisfied.
- Remove the tillers. Tack the rudder bushes in place
using cyano applied from the top only.
