Ensure that the lever

of the reversing valve is in the middle position.

Dismantle the strainer cover

Fill the pumped liquid into the strainer chamber

until it is filled completely.

Vent the pumps. Take the corresponding operating instructions of the pumps into consideration in
the process.

Fill the strainer chamber again with pumped liquid.

Checking the direction of rotation
The direction of rotation and the flow direction are indicated by arrows on the pump. The direction of ro-
tation of the motor specifies the direction of rotation of the pump. That is to say, the fan impeller of the
motor must rotate in the direction in which the arrow on the pump is pointing to indicate direction of ro-
tation.
For information on checking the direction of rotation please refer to the pump operating instruc-
tions.

WARNING
Risk of injury through emitted pumped liquid.
Pumped liquids can be hot, poisonous, combustible and caustic.
► Wear personal protective clothing during all the work. Ensure face protection.
► Collect any discharging pumped liquid safely and dispose of it in an environmentally compatible
manner in accordance with the applicable local regulations.
ATTENTION
Dry running can damage pump equipment.
► Ensure that the pump and the connected pipe system are filled properly.
► If the pump does not deliver after 10 – 15 seconds, abort commissioning.
