Installing the radial shaft seal
Personnel qualification:

Work clothing

Aids:

Tool set, radial shaft seal

Thread sealant (for example Loctite 572)
o
Molybdenum disulphide paste (for example Fenkart T4)
Notice
The thread sealant serves during installation of the radial shaft seal as a lubricant, and after it has
cured as an anti-rotation measure.

Ensure that all parts of the radial shaft seal are dismantled so that the supporting ring

Clean the main screw around the mechanical seal carefully and grease it, and push the mounting
sleeve main screw

onto the main screw.

Carefully clean the fitting surface of the radial shaft seal in the seal housing

Apply thread sealant (for example Loctite 572). Ensure that no thread sealant comes into contact
with the sealing lip.

Ensure that the mounting arbour radial shaft seal ring
