Improper pitch on horizontal

Check for leaks and repair if necessary.
Excessive draft
Restrictor setting may need to be adjusted.
Soot appears on glass
Improper glass media placement

Improper venturi setting
Venturi air shutter may need to be opened slightly to allow more air
into the gas mix. Section 11.2.1 Burner Venturi on page 45

Adjust if necessary.
