7.2 Telephone Function
7.2.1 TEL/FAX Switching
Outline
A function to switch telephone and FAX automatically after reception.
Japan only.
Operation
1. When CNG is not detected for four seconds after line seizure, this function sends RBT (pseudo
Ring Back Tone) and continues CNG detection, outputting RBT (pseudo ring) from the speaker.
2. When CNG is not detected for a given period (Default is 20 seconds. Changeable by address
parameters), this function stops RBT transmission and becomes FAX reception.
3. This function detects OFF-HOOK of the external telephone during RBT transmission only.
4. When OFF-HOOK of the external telephone is detected during RBT transmission, the line is
connected to the external telephone. Even if you use the telephone, you can manually switch to
the FAX reception after that.
5. When CNG is detected during the above-mentioned RBT transmission, RBT transmission is
stopped and the FAX reception starts.
