Connecting the USB cable between the
Operating Panel and the Processor Unit
The Operating Panel offers all necessary control functions for normal operation. The
Mk3 Operating Panel is connected to the Processor Unit with a USB cable. A dedicated
power supply unit is not required.
Prerequisites
The sonar system is turned off. Neither tools nor instruments are required.
Context
This is a standard commercial USB data cable. One end of the USB cable is fitted with
a quadratic USB connector (B-plug). The other end is fitted with a rectangular USB
connector (A-plug).
This cable is included in the delivery. The cable length is approximately two metres. If
you need a longer cable you must buy it locally.
Procedure
1 Locate a vacant USB socket on the rear panel of the Processor Unit.
2 Connect the USB cable from the Processor Unit to the Operating Panel.
3 Secure the cable so that the connections can withstand the vibration and movements
of the vessel.
