1. Coolant mixture
Important
• Compulsorily use a protective ANTIFREEZE additive diluted
with softened water.
The freezing point of the coolant mixture varies in relation to
the water-antifreeze mixing ratio.
The extended life coolant lowers the freezing point, while
increasing the boiling point
A 50/50 antifreeze and water mixture is therefore recommended
to obtain optimum protection and to prevent galvanic corrosion,
rust and limescale build-up.
Danger
• Presence of steam and coolant under pressure! Risk of burns.
Allow the engine to cool to ambient temperature.
• Unscrew cap A and fill the radiator with a 50/50
ANTIFREEZE-softened water mixture.
• The fluid should be at least 5 mm above the tubes inside
the radiator. Do not completely fill the radiator but leave
some room for coolant expansion.
• Loosen screw C to purge any trapped air, then re-tighten
screw C (to a torque of 8 Nm)
• Tighten cap A .
• After 10 service hours, stop the engine, allow the coolant
to cool to almost ambient temperature and check the level
again.
