Maintenance
Changing the power take-off gearbox oil - technical personnel only
The oil check screw, the drain plug (see figs. 35 & 36) and the surrounding areas must be kept
clean in order to avoid the ingress of dirt into the gearbox interior.
The gearbox oil must be exchanged after the first 25 hours of operation and after that
every 100 hours of operation, or once per year, with the gearbox at operating temperature.
See ‘Technical data’ for the oil filling quantity and oil quality!
•
Switch off the engine; pull off the spark plug cap.
•
Place an oil collecting pan under the oil drain plug.
•
Unscrew the oil drain plug under the rapid-change flange.
•
Drain the oil.
•
Screw in the oil drain plug.
•
Pour in approx. 0.45 l gearbox oil through the oil filling aperture (check screw) with the aid
of a funnel.
•
Check the oil level (see above).
•
Screw in the check screw.
•
Check the oil drain plug for leaks.
Important!
Protect the environment:
The handling and disposal of mineral oils are subject to legal regulations.
Take used oil to an authorised collection point.
Do not spill engine oil!
Take precautions to catch spilt oil – lay out an oilproof tarpaulin and use an oil collecting
pan.
4.
Clutch
Caution!
No maintenance with the engine running!
There is a risk of crushing and cutting injuries in the vicinity of the clutch!
Attach the safety devices again after maintenance work!
