Appendix D: Configuring the NMS

These instructions are only a guide, please refer to the NMS manufacturer manuals for accurate 

instructions. 

To complete the RMS compact

 

 installation and configuration process, you must compile the necessary MIB to 

configure the NMS. 

Any suitable SNMP based NMS with a MIB compiler can manage the RMS compact

 

 adapter. For instructions 

on how to compile MIBs please refer to the documentation supplied with the NMS. 

General Network Management Stations 

Follow these general procedures to configure an NMS:
