NOVAR 2100/2200 Operating Manual
4.3.5 PFC Alarm Parameters
The controllers evaluate various nonstandard conditions ( such like measured quantities' extreme
values ) and, by the PFC alarm setting, various
alarms
can be activated.
Each of the alarms has two functions :
•
alarm indication (
I
)
•
alarm actuation (
A
)
If
the alarm indication
is set and appropriate alarm condition keeps fulfilled for preset time, the alarm
indication gets active which means :
•
flashing alarm symbol
appears at a measurement values branch. Then in alarm setup
parameters you can look up the alarm event which activated the alarm : scroll through
parameters 40 ÷ 56 and you can detect the alarm source according lit symbol
- in the
alarm setup parameters, flashing general alarm symbol is replaced with permanently lit or
hidden alarm symbol indicating current active/passive state of the listed alarm.
If indication function of any alarm is active (symbol
flashes at measurement
values branch window), the first of these alarms parameter window is listed
automatically when switching to parameter branch.
•
if any of outputs is set as alarm output, the appropriate output switches to preset active state.
(on/off) according the parameter 26 setup
Unlike alarm actuation described below, the alarm indication function has no effect on the PFC control
process.
For most of the alarm events, you can set
the alarm actuation
function too. The actuation means
intervention in the control process, mostly interruption of controller operation, usually with subsequent
disconnection of all compensation outputs and mostly fixed outputs too.
Individual alarms are indicated with (see table
PFC Alarm Setup – Overview of Parameters
) :
•
alarm number
… range 01 ÷ 17, for example the voltage loss alarm number is
01
•
alarm mark
… for example the
U<<
means voltage loss alarm
The PFC alarm setup group starts at parameter group No. 40. You can scroll through all the alarms
and check their main setup and actual state. In the side branch of each of alarm parameter group
there are five subparameters as shown on example on figure 4.11.
Parameter group No. 43 specifies behaviour of
he undercurrent alarm
( mark “I<”). Its number
04
is
displayed in the first two characters of line 2. The third character is number of the alarm
subparameter :
•
1
… alarm indication and actuation setting :
•
-
-
= neither indication nor actuation processed (switched off)
•
I
-
= indication is processed only (set on)
•
-
A
= actuation is processed only
•
I
A
= both indication and actuation are processed
•
2
… control quantity type :
•
A
C
t
=
actual
value (
I
, for example discussed) of the control quantity is used for
the alarm condition evaluation
•
A
u
g
=
average
value (
I
AVG
) is used
