Instructions for Use 

marTract® – Wound Retractor System

Application 

The wound retractor system marTract® can be attached to all operating tables that are equipped with a 
rectangular rail. 

Holder 

The holder is attached to the existing operating table rail after applying the sterile cover. Make sure that 
the fixing clamp of the holder is fully opened (by turning the hand wheel to the left). After attaching the 
holder, secure the fixing clamp by turning the upper hand wheel to the right. 

•

 

Check the secure hold of the holder! 

Attaching the ball retainer including horizontal bar 

 

•

 

Open the clamping lever on the holder and insert the horizontal bar of the ball retainer into the 

clamping jaw. 

•

 

Align the ball retainer in such a manner that sufficient space between the system and the patient is 

ensured. 

•

 

Secure the ball retainer by throwing the lever on the holder.
