 Dangerous electrical voltage in the control cabinet despite switched off main switch

If the machine is switched off at its main switch only, dangerous electrical voltage
is still applied at several terminals in the control cabinet. In particular, these include
the main infeed terminal and the input terminals of the main switch.
 Refrigeration circuit is pressurised
o
Provided it is not damaged the refrigerating circuit is closed. It can therefore
assume to be safe.
Note:
If, after switching off the unit at the main switch, you wait at least 3 minutes before opening it,
hazards resulting from rotational energy and electrical energy can be reduced. In this case, only the
residual thermal energy must be taken into account.
4.4. Safety devices and safeguards
4.4.1. High pressure limiter
The high-pressure limiter (PZH) is a pressure switch with manual resetting. The PZH limits the
condensing pressure and switches off the compressor via the load contactor on reaching the
maximum allowable system operating pressure. It is part of the safety chain. The PZH is installed
on the refrigerant collector of the vBoxX type units (see
Figure 7: Position of the high-pressure
limiter (PZH)). If the PZH has triggered, a message is output at the operator control terminal. In this
case, please follow the instructions in Chapter Troubleshooting (see Appendix II).

4.4.2. High pressure monitoring
If the high-pressure in the refrigerating circuit of your machine rises to a maximum value the
compressor is switched off via the High pressure limiter. A manual reset at the high-pressure limiter
and at the display is then required. If the high-pressure monitor has triggered, please follow the
instructions in Chapter Troubleshooting (see
Appendix II).
