Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, first check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem
Possible cause / solution / tips
The device does
not work.
Nothing is
shown on the
display.
Is the device in standby mode? Press the
START / STOP
button.
Is the mains plug not inserted in the plug socket correctly?
Correct the fit of the mains plug.
Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of the mains connection.
“Err” error
message on the
display.
The measuring range of the scale has been exceeded. Only
weigh ingredients up to no more than 5 kg.
“E2” error
message on the
display.
The mixing bowl is not inserted correctly. Place the mix- ing
bowl into the mixing bowl mount and press it down until you
hear it engage.
The mixing bowl is open or the mixing bowl lid or steaming
attachment is not locked on properly. Correct the fit of the
mixing bowl lid / steaming attachment.
The device
switches off and
cannot be
switched on.
The motor has overheated.
1.Switch off the device using the On / Off switch.
2.Remove the mixing bowl and open it.
3.Reduce the quantity and / or add a little liquid.
4.Wait for around 5 minutes (cool-down time).
5.Close the mixing bowl and reinsert it in the motor unit.
6.Switch on the device using the On / Off switch. If the device still
cannot be switched on after the cool-down time, contact the
customer service department.
During use, an
unpleasant smell
is detected.
Is the device being used for the first time? A smell often
develops when new devices are first used. The smell should
disappear after you have used the device several times.
If the motor is placed under too much strain, as well as the
device being switched off by the electronic protective switch, a
smell may be produced due to the heated motor. However, this is
completely harmless. After the cool-down time, the device is in
full working order again.
