To Adjust
1. Open the clutch access window that is located on
the right hand forward of the clutch housing.
2. Insert a 2.5 to 3.0mm (0.098 to 0.12 in.) thickness
gauge between the release thrust ball bearing and
bearing and the release levers. Adjust the clear-
ance by the length of the clutch cable.
• Lengthen the cable when the clearance is wider.
• Shorten the cable when the clearance is narrower.
3. Depress the clutch pedal, and check and make cer-
tain that the free travel at the tip of the pedal is 20 to
30 mm. (0.79 to 1.18 in.)
4. With the clutch pedal depressed to the lowest point,
confirm that there is adequate gap between the
clutch pedal and safety starter switch.
NOTE :
•
Adjustment of the clutch pedal free travel should
be performed as explained above and should no
be judged by sight alone.
10.3 Brake
If the clearance of the brake pedal is too large, adjust
the clearance. (20~30mm, 0.79~1.18in.) The length of
push rod of master cylinder can adjust the clearance.
After adjusting, be sure to tighten the lock nut at push
rod.
1. The adjustment of the clearance difference between
right and left
2. Push the right and left brake pedals, measure the
clearance of pedals. Adjust the clearance if the
clearance difference between right and left is over
6mm(0.236in.). Be sure to tighten the nuts after ad-
justing the clearance.
After adjustment, interlock the right and left brake ped-
als and finally tighten lock nut securely.
