NOTE: 

It is easier to start the engine by setting the throttle at fast 

tickover. When the throttle fast tickover is cancelled, the engine runs 

at idle speed.

Chain brake

The chain brake is a safety mechanism activated by the front hand guard (chain 

brake lever) (9). When kickback occurs the chain stops immediately.

Disengage chain brake:

 When the chain brake lever (9) is in the disengaged 

position, the product can be operated with running saw chain (Fig. 22).

Engage chain brake: 

When the chain brake lever (9) is in the engaged position, 

the saw chain is stopped as soon as the chain brake is activated (Fig. 23).
