Tips on Smart Scan
• Move the mouse slowly with the front of the mouse always facing
away from you.
Do not tilt the mouse while moving it.
•
Move the mouse in a given (constant) orientation without twisting
it while scanning.
Notes
• As the mouse moves, the remaining memory decreases. When all the memory
is consumed, scanning ends automatically. End the scan before the memory is
consumed.
• Move the mouse in a given (constant) orientation from the beginning to the end of the
scan.
• If the mouse is moved too quickly, the scan frame will turn yellow or red. Move the
mouse slowly.
• When scanning, try to avoid the areas that have already been scanned, as much as
possible. An excessive consumption of scan memory will occur when the same areas
are scanned repeatedly.
• The scan memory is constantly consumed in the scan mode, even when the mouse is
not moved. Therefore, do not keep the mouse on the document during the scan.
• If the image has been misaligned, move the mouse slowly over the applicable area in
order to read the text again.
• The scan size varies greatly, depending on the PC's operating environment.
