Duct Detector Mounting Plate (SIGA-DMP)

The SIGA-DMP Duct Detector Mounting Plate is a 7 in. (178 mm) square mounting plate with a 4 in. (100
mm) square electrical box used to directly mount a DS-PS smoke detector inside an air duct. The SIGA-
DMP includes screws for mounting the DS-SB or DS-RB detector base and a rubber gasket that forms an
airtight seal between the mounting plate and the air duct wall. See Figure 17 below.

Note:

Do not use with heat detectors.

Install the SIGA-DMP in ducts that have a maximum width and maximum height of 36 in. (910 mm).

•

The compatible smoke detector is the DS-PS. Compatible bases include the DS-SB and DS-RB.

•

Acceptable air velocity range is 300 - 4,000 ft./min (1.52 to 20.32 m/s).
