U3047AE04 Service Information
RF Switch Path Testing
If you suspect an RF signal path problem, the following procedure will confirm all RF signal
paths through the Test Set.
Equipment Required
•
N5247A PNA-X
•
Two RF Flex Cables with 1.85 mm connectors (8121-1445 or equivalent)
•
Three 1.85 mm Adapters (female to female)
•
Test Set I/O Cable (8120-6818)
Equipment Setup
1. Connect the Test Set I/O cable (8120-6818) from the PNA to Test Set. Refer to Figure 11 on
page 16 . Set PNA to “Standalone mode” (Test can not be performed in Multiport mode).
2. Connect the RF flex cables with the adapters to the PNA Ports 1 and 2. Connect the cables
together using a 1.85 mm adapter.
3. Set the following:

4. Select measure S21 trace and perform a Trace Normalization.
